About the Quilter………………………
I started sewing when I was 5 years old. I would carry around a scrap of fabric, needle and thread and put stitches in it. Didn’t care to play with dolls, just wanted my fabric.
I
learned to sew garments around 10 or 11 years old
on my mothers Singer treadle and continued to sew on that machine until
I was in high school, when we got our first motorized Singer. Due to my
small size I was required to sew my own clothes my entire life to have
them fit properly. About 15 years ago I took up quilting seriously and
acquired an APQS Millennium longarm a little over 8 years ago. And as
they say, “The rest is history”, that includes cooking, cleaning,
shopping (of course except for fabric shopping which is continual) and
any other unnecessary activities like sleeping and eating.
I was blessed to be born a native Southern California girl and have lived here almost my entire life. I now live in paradise, Palm Springs, California, paradise if you like the heat; it’s all relative, isn’t it?
Please enjoy the quilts. If you are interested in contacting me for quilting services, please call or email me at my address on the Contact page.
